Diagnostic Testing

Diagnostic Testing

Never—at Macleans—have we had a diagnostic test like Write that Essay conducted.  This was a serious move by senior management to address a problem.  We have used PAT tests, and other common entrance tests in the past.  But, you don’t usually get that level of detail when it comes to diagnostic testing: most are very general and cover the whole cohort.  With Write that Essay, we received individual student results.

Every students script had at least forty annotations, they were individually marked in enormous detail which was then referenced back to a marking rubric.  It changed their whole approach to writing.
